The New School of Architecture

This project was an exercise in representation and it aimed to explore
the idea of creating design intent through something other than a
predetermined brief, in fact a program brief was not even discussed
until midway through the project. In this case that point of departure
for the design was sketches made while observing dancers performing
the tango.
These sketches then went through a variety of processes to make them
into a solid and, potentially, usable form, mostly through the use of 3D
modelling software, Rhino 5.
It’s worth noting that by designing in this way, problems arise in terms
of fitting functions into the unusual form created, and this is not my
preference, however I think the graphical aspect of the presentation
work is applicable to many other projects.
